R.E.P.O.R.T #3
Good morning!
Back and better than over with the third Weekly R.E.P.O.R.T. The sickness has been overcome, so do not fear.
Enjoy.
Reading
I’m still reading The Secret Hours by Mick Herron. I have been SLACKING, but hopefully I can pick up the pace this week. I also hate to admit that I have been re-entering my Steddie fanfic phase. If you don’t know what that means, I’m happy for you, and you should keep it that way.
Eating
I have been eating and making so many fun things. I made cinnamon rolls yet again. I always make The Best Cinnamon Rolls You’ll Ever Eat from Ambitious Kitchen, and I haven’t gotten a negative review yet. I sincerely believe they are the best. I also had a breakfast burrito and a chocolate covered strawberry mocha from Bully Brew Coffee House (as covered in my last post). They were both absolutely scrumptious. In other news, I bought the best bag of grapes I’ve ever had in my life the other day. They were the crispiest, crunchiest, most refreshing green grapes I’ve ever encountered. I may never have grapes that good again. Other meals of note from the past week include a burrito (7/10), a reuben (could have used more sauerkraut), and tomato soup that never fails to knock my socks off.
Playing
Update on Animal Crossing, I think Tom Nook read my last posts. All of a sudden, other residents are giving me gifts for all of my hard work. It’s crazy, it’s like they’ve heard my pleas for recognition. I’m a little creeped out, but also generally happier with my game-playing experience.
I also played We’re Not Really Strangers and Wavelength with my parents. I laughed, I cried, it was great. I don’t want to stick on this too much, though, because I already went over it in the Mom & Dad Visit Recap.
Obsessing Over
This week’s obsession is the Broski Report. I can’t get enough. For anyone who doesn’t know, allow me to change your life. The Broski Report is a podcast hosted by internet sensation and the people’s princess, Brittany Broski. If laughter is the best medicine, I’m gonna live forever. Last week’s episode with the Teddy Fresh balaclava? You’re kidding. That’s hilarious. There’s nothing better than watching a woman discuss medieval torture and the fragility of human hope while wearing a striped balaclava with teddy bear ears on it. Also the way that the green stripes on the balaclava messed with the green screen made me cry-laugh.
The aforementioned balaclava
I know there are people who listen to podcasts to learn something, but I do it strictly to laugh. I listen to The Basement Yard, the Broski Report, and the occasional episode of Ear Biscuits with Rhett and Link. That’s all I need. Circling back to the Basement Yard, though, I love those guys. I’ve been watching Joe’s videos since he did Idiots of the Internet when I was like 14. When I’m having a bad day, nothing can turn my mood around like Mad Lib Madness with Joe and Keith. I just simply, love them. Also shoutout to them for giving me a Squarespace discount code to create this blog. Any I hope you listen and/or watch, and enjoy.
Recommending
I’m recommending getting yourself a foldable wagon, especially if you live on the upper floors of an apartment building with an elevator. There are oodles of different options on Amazon, but I got the Homgava one. In my opinion, it’s worth every penny. I can fold it up and keep it in my car, it’s the best thing in the world for bringing in groceries, I’m just thoroughly enjoying it. I wish I had it at Christmas when I was hauling a bunch of presents around.
Treating Myself To
I haven’t really treated myself to anything this week. The only thing I can think of is new windshield wipers. I can’t believe that’s a treat to me now, but that’s just where I’m at. They are fantastic, though. I’m so relieved to have wipers that actually work. When it gets a little warmer, I’m gonna detail my car, and I’m unreasonably excited.
That's All, Folks!
Thank you for accompanying me on yet another recap of my weekly activities. I am having copious amounts of fun with this.
And lastly, my songs of the week:
Hatful of Dreams - Timothée Chalamet (Wonka Soundtrack)
Forever - Noah Kahan
Hot & Heavy - Lucy Dacus
Paul - Big Thief
Sayonara, Sammy!
